Front

Inkscape is a free and open-source vector graphics editor.

It is similar to Adobe Illustrator and offers powerful functionality.

To pan around the Inkscape interface, hold down the Control key and use the scroll wheel.

This allows you to navigate the workspace effectively.

The selection tool is indicated by a light blue box around it.

It allows you to select and change properties of objects.

To draw a square in Inkscape, select the square tool and drag on the canvas.

The default color of the square is based on the last used color.

You can resize a selected shape by clicking and dragging the arrows around it.

You can also change the width and height using the options at the top.

To change the height of a shape, type a number in the height box and hit enter.

The default unit is millimeters, but it can be changed to inches.

To deselect an object, click in the white space or press the escape key.

This will remove the selection and prevent changes to the object.

To change the fill color of a shape, hold down the Shift key and click on a color.

To change the stroke color, just click on a color without holding any key.

You can rotate a shape by clicking on the corner and dragging it.

The rotation axis can be moved by placing the plus sign at a different point.

To save your project in Inkscape, go to File and then Save.

You can save it as a .svg file to reopen later.
