The point of view is HOW the story is told, not who.

Is the story told by the narrator about him/herself? (1st person: I, me, mine)

Is the narrator talking directly to the reader? (2nd person: you, yours)

Is the narrator telling a story where he/she is not talking about their own personal experience, about characters but not talking directly to the reader as they would be in the 2nd person POV, or about other characters in general? (3rd person: he/she/they/it)
