Multiplication is a mathematical operation where a number is added to itself a certain number of times. For example, 3 multiplied by 4 (3 x 4) means adding 3 four times: 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12.

A fraction represents a part of a whole. It is written as two numbers separated by a slash, like 1/2, where the top number (numerator) shows how many parts we have, and the bottom number (denominator) shows how many equal parts the whole is divided into.

Rounding a number means adjusting it to the nearest specified place value, such as the nearest ten or hundred. For example, rounding 253 to the nearest hundred gives you 300.
