What is a multiplication fact family?

A multiplication fact family is a group of related multiplication and division facts that use the same numbers. For example, the numbers 2, 3, and 6 can create the fact family: 2 x 3 = 6, 3 x 2 = 6, 6 ÷ 2 = 3, and 6 ÷ 3 = 2.
