Light Reflection & Vision

Light reflection is when light bounces off a surface, allowing us to see images.

Our brains help us interpret the images we see, including flipping upside-down images right-side up.

A reflector is a surface that bounces light back, such as a mirror or shiny metal.

Shiny metal is the best reflector of light.

A lens is a curved piece of glass or plastic that helps focus light to form clear images.

Cameras and glasses use lenses to focus light.

A USB memory stick does not use light reflection; it stores data electronically.

Fiber optics are thin strands of glass or plastic that carry light signals for faster internet connections.

An image is a visual representation of something, created by light reflecting off surfaces.

When light hits a mirror, it reflects back, allowing us to see our reflection.
