long story short, zeus got really pissed was angry at someone named Lycaon for trying to test his divinity by [.... you can go reference the tantalus story thank you very much] and uh long story short, he sent a flood that wiped out all of humanity, save a guy named Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha! They eventually gave birth to a new race of humanity - BUT that's not the point, the point is a second chance for humanity etc. etc. but sometimes we can't help but wonder if all that could've been avoided if zeus just.. didn't... wipe out humanity? questions to think about...
