The human heart is the main organ in the circulatory system. The heart is like two pumps working side by side. Its main function is to pump blood through the blood vessels to all parts of the body. The muscle is called the cardiac muscle.

The heart is located a little to the left of the middle of your chest.

The heart has four chambers. Each half is divided into the upper and lower part

The upper part is called the atrium (right atrium and left atrium) This is where blood enters the heart.

The lower part is called a ventricle. (right and left ventricle) This is where blood leaves the heart.
