Energy is always saved. New energy can never be created or destroyed. It can be transformed into another form of energy or transferred to another location.

All the air/gases on this planet. The atmosphere is divided into layers that each has its own properties. The layer of the atmosphere that allows us to breathe is the Troposphere.

The solid part of the Earth, including all rocks, minerals, and landforms. Geosphere is the mountains, the ground we walk on, and the seafloor. Volcanoes are also part of the Geosphere.

A diagram of living things that shows 'who eats who'. We draw arrows connecting which living thing gets its energy from which living thing.

Similar to a Food web, it shows where energy travels between Biotic Factors in an Ecosystem. However, a Trophic chart also includes the Abiotic factors of an ecosystem, like the Sun. Sometimes it is drawn to look like a pyramid.

A living thing in an ecosystem. It can affect both other living things as well as non-living things.

A living thing that produces their own energy by taking in energy from the sun instead of getting energy from eating. Producers form the base of the food chain/web.
