-Terrorism is different from conventional war. Conventional war has specific place, time limit, and professional combatants/soldiers.

-While terrorism has none of these elements. It is random attack, targeting civilians, public targets, and caused huge damage.

-The motive varies: to force government to submit to their demands, to take revenge, and to show off the strength.
