Adding fractions (same denominator)

common denominator, convert, then add numerators

decimal as fraction, e.g. $$0.25 = \frac{1}{4}$$

Fraction of a quantity

the quantity by the fraction, e.g. $$\frac{2}{5}$$ of £30 is $$\frac{2}{5} \times 30 = £12$$
