Researchers are able to have strict control of variables in a _______________ experiment.

This research method is a descriptive technique in which one individual or group is studied in depth in the hope of revealing universal principles.

This research method is a measure of the extent to which two variables change together, and thus of how well either variable predicts the other.

This is a method of research where an investigator manipulates one or more factors (independent variables) to observe the effect on some behavior or mental process (the dependent variable).

The advantage of this descriptive method of research is that it creates an immense amount of data to be gathered quickly and inexpensively.

What is the advantage of this method of research where behavior is observed in the subject's natural environment? Options: Observational, Correlational, Experiments, Case Study, Survey

The advantage of this method of research is that it can help to clarify relationships between variables that cannot be explained by other research methods, in other words- predictions.

What is the advantage of a descriptive method of research that involves strict control of variables?

Disadvantage of this descriptive research method: may not be representative of the general population and doesn’t yield reliable conclusions about behavior. Options: Case Study, Survey, Observational, Correlational, Experiments
