Addition 

         3 + 5 = 8           and    -3 + (-5) = -8 

         3 + (-5) = -2        and       -3 + 5 = 2

Subtraction

         3 - 5 = -2           and    -3 - (-5) = 2

         3 - (-5) = 8        and       -3 - 5 =-8

Multiplication 

         3 (- 5) = -15       and         -3 (5) =-15

         3  (5) = 15        and       -3 ( - 5 )= 15

Division

                  -15 / 3 = -5      

                  15/ (-3) = -5

                 -15 / ( -5) = 3
