Titles and subtitles
Every report needs a title and subtitle. Simple/boring titles are fine! They need to cover the scope of the report.

Sponsors
Who has commissioned the report? Readers will want to know who is responsible for funding and carrying out the research.

Table of Contents
This is necessary for readers who wish to quickly scan the report.

Appendices
This is an addition to a report, and it may include raw data, survey questions, articles, or primary sources.

Abstract
This summarises the key findings of the research and it describes the context in which the research was conducted.

Synthesis
This is the act of processing multiple sources and basing claims on them.

Readers of reports want to know how research was conducted. A section of this comes towards the beginning of the report.

Research aims to aquire results and report in its findings. This includes the data or evidence gathered and the conclusions that are based on them.

These are useful for in-text referencing. Readers should be able to understand what they are looking at.
