Hydrophobic= water fearing (nonpolar)
Hydrophilic = water loving (polar)

Proteins are apart of the plasma membrane. The type of protein determines how it is oriented in the membrane.

Integral Proteins= proteins that are embedded through the membrane
Peripheral Protiens= proteins on either side of the plasma membrane
