2

True

Find the Evidence. Find the key words in the statement then look in the text for the same words or words that mean the same.

Under line the words that tell you the statement is true. Perhaps the question has other words but they must mean the same.

3

False

Find the Evidence.
Find and underline the words that tell you the statement is NOT true. Perhaps the statement says 'always' but the text says 'sometimes'. Or perhaps the numbers in the statement are in the text but not for the same thing. If it has the opposite meaning or is not the same meaning then it is false.

Does Not Say -DNS / Not Given -NG

Some tests use DNS others NG, but they are the same.  First try and find key words or ideas in the text and if you can't find anything about this statement then choose DNS or NG. If you have the time, go back and check again, because you might find the answer later while answering the T/F questions.

Reading Text

The Practice Questions refer to the reading text from Cambridge Prepare 3, 2nd Edition Unit 5 Page 32. Students should have their books open and underline the words that refer to the statement.

For easy reference when answering, students should put the number of the question next to the evidence for the answer.
