Why is Friction so important?
Friction can be a useful force because it prevents our shoes from slipping on the pavement when we walk and stops car tires from skidding on the road.
When you walk friction is put to the test. Friction is caused between the tread of shoes and the ground any time you walk. This friction acts to grip the ground and prevent sliding.
