Padlet and Padlet Mini

-Padlet is great for curating web links, videos, images, files, and other media for classes to use. You can even create short audio clips and screen-movies (5 mins) on the fly. Lots of great templates. You can share & save your Padlets in a variety of ways, and you can allow students to collaborate. http://padlet.com

-Padlet Mini is a Chrome extension that allows you to quickly add websites to a Padlet. Wonderful tool for creating beautiful infographics, banners, images, posters, presentations, videos, and more! Free, but some of the templates and images have additional costs.

  • Snagit: Screen Capture Software. Screen capturing, screen movies, editor. Will let you capture scrolling image. Costs about $30 but is not monthly charge. https://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.html

  • Screencastify allows you to create 5 minute 'screen movies' for your class. It is free for 5 minute videos but it has a very low price-point if you want to purchase the product for longer videos / more space.   • easel.ly | create and share visual ideas using infographics. Create infographs and visuals. This program does cost ($4 monthly for teachers) but has a money back guarantee if you don't like it after you subscribe. https://www.easel.ly/

EdPuzzle

Create lessons based on videos from the web or that you create. Add questions, audio, or notes at various points in the video, and even lock down the video so students must watch the entire video without the ability to skip! Best of all, there is a free version with lots of capabilities. You get to store 20 videos, but you can add more space by referrals or with a monthly subscription. https://edpuzzle.com/

Free tool allowing you to create video-based discussion boards. You can assess the posts using rubrics. http://www.flipgrid.com

Not only a quiz tool, Quizizz now lets you create slideshows with embedded quizzes (that's what I'm using now). Best of all, it is free (with ads). To unlock the no-ads version and get more features, it has a monthly charge.

  • Kaizena is a great tool for giving feedback through voice, text, and video, and for setting up collaboration / discussions and rubric-based assessments. You can even link to or create review lessons for common mistakes that students are making. https://app.kaizena.com/

  • Flubaroo Add in for Google Forms / Sheets: Quickly grade quizzes delivered through Forms. Free http://www.flubaroo.com/home

  • Kahoot: Free premium version now for teachers who are virtually teaching this year. Students can even create their own quizzes and share them with others. https://kahoot.com/

  • Pear Deck Add in for Chrome - works on any device and in any browser, and seamlessly integrates with Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint (and Teams). Add quizzes to your content. Free version, but it is limited. Paid version available. https://www.peardeck.com/

  • Boom: another gamified version of Kahoot or Quizizz. Not free, but may appeal more to certain students. https://wow.boomlearning.com
