Surat Al Fatiha 

The Opening 

The first Surat in the Quraan.

This Surat is recited before beginning any good work. It includes two of the most beautiful names of Allah SWT. 

Arrahman means the most merciful, this name tells us that Allah is full of mercy and kindness towards everything. 

The name Arrahim means extremely loving and merciful. This name shows quality of Allah mercy that we receive as a result of our good work.

Main points:

• All praise belongs to Allah SWT

• Allah SWT is the master of the day of judgement

• We confirm that Allah SWT is the only one we worship

• We ask Allah SWT to guide us to the straight path

• The path of the past prophets and good people
