Simple Past Tense

We use the simple past tense to talk about completed actions

Regular and irregular verbs

• Regular verbs: They have an -ed ending. Example: return, stay, move, etc

• Irregular verbs: They have many different forms. Example: go, come,do, be, etc

How to do it?

• Statement: S+ Verb past simple+ C

• Negative stament: S+ didn't(did not)+ verb in the base form+ C

• Question with be: Was/were+ S+ verb in the base form+ C

• Question: Did+ S+ verb in the base form+ C
