There are three main ways to write a linear equation.

Slope Intercept, Standard Form, and Point-Slope Form

Standard Form

 $Ax+By=C$  

A, B, and C are all integers.
A and B cannot both be zero.

Slope-Intercept Form

 $y=mx+b$  

• m is the slope

• b is the y-intercept

Point-Slope Form

 $y-y_1=m\left(x-x_1\right)$  

• m is the slope

•  $\left(x_1,\ y_1\right)$  is the point
