What type of dog should I get?

(The Great Debate)

So I want a dog...

But I don't know which kind will be best for me. I like bigger dogs who are friendly and playful, but they would also need to be fairly low maintenance as I am a college student. I've got some ideas, so we're gonna check them out and see what you guys think.

French Bulldog

I love french bulldogs, and I actually have a french bulldog mix at home (see pictured). They are naturally curious, and have lots of energy. They live to be about 12 years old.

Pitbull

• Bigger dog (I like bigger dogs)

• Life span of around 10 years

• Are only aggressive if raised to be

• Sadly, there is lots of legislation and restrictions around owning one

Golden Retriever

Very fun, but they have lots of energy. They are a bigger dog usually, and I think they're super cute. However, they do shed a lot and I kinda have bad allergies (oh well)!

Samoyed

• Friendly, outgoing

• Lives 12-14 years

• Sheds, needs to be brushed once or twice a week

• Does bark a lot, can be trained not to
