• Conjugation means changing the verb to fit who or what you are talking about.

• Spanish verbs that end with the letters "ar" such as USAR or HABLAR go by the following rules

• Drop the ar and add the ending for who or what the subject is.

• For example: Hablar (To talk). If we want to say we talk, we would drop the ar and add amos. hablar - ar = habl + amos = hablamos

Example: Nadar (to swim)

• Let's try conjugating nadar to say they swim

• First we drop the ar at the end of the word. Nadar - ar = nad

• Then we add the ending for they. Nad + an

• We get Nadan

Example: Caminar (To walk)

• Let's try to conjugate caminar to say I walk

• First we drop the ar. Caminar - ar = Camin

• Next we add the ending for yo. Camin + o = Camino

• Camino = I walk
