DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

• Were you able to copy the notes you heard clearly?

• What did your different attempts of the wacky words sound like?

• What types of accents are there in your region and what do they signify?

SCALES

• Using a piano or any instrument, play middle C.

• Allow students to sound the note on a hum.

• Play the next notes of the scale, allowing the students to hum in repeat.

• Next allow the students to repeat the sound of the notes on 'la'.

WACKY WORDS

• Teacher will give the students a phrase for eg. Theatre is life.

• Students will repeat the phrase according to the requirements given.

• Repeat words with teeth clenched.

• Repeat words with mouth shaped like an "O"

• Repeat words while pinching your nose.
