IMPERATIVES ARE:

Verbs used to achieve different functions, but they always have the same kind of general role, telling someone what to do or guiding someone to do something.

• GIVE ORDERS / COMMANDS

• GIVE DIRECTIONS / INSTRUCTIONS

• MAKE REQUEST (+PLEASE)

• GIVE ADVICE /SUGGESTIONS

• GIVE WARNINGS

• INVITE SOMEONE

When you use an imperative, you start the sentence with the base form of the verb.

THE SUBJECT IS IMPLIED ALWAYS TO BE TALKING ABOUT YOU (The subject is you)

You are not indicating any subject, you are not saying: I, you, he, she, it or they.

IMPERATIVES

Forms:

POSITIVE: bfv "GIVE ME THAT"

NEGATIVE: Do not + bfv "DO NOT GO INSIDE"
