Freshwater Marsh

Freshwater Marsh Form on top of over saturated soil. The bottoms are really gunky.

Plants Grasses and grass, lilies, algae, cattails 

*Most of the plant life in a marsh is grass*

 Animals reptiles raccoons beavers birds ducks- webbed feet 

adaptation some birds have special beaks for hunting or tall legs to move through the water/mud 

Saltwater Marsh

Very similar to Estuary Varied Salt Levels due to tides.  

Animals: ducks birds insects reptiles crabs mussels need to adapt to changing salt levels 

 Climates can vary 

 Plants special grasses- adapt to salt by getting rid of it 

Osprey

Ospreys are birds that often live near water sources such as Marshes, ponds and streams because one of their main sources of food is fish.

Bog

Bogs are characterized by their poor soil and high peat content.

Peat: a brown, soil-like material characteristic of boggy, acidic ground, consisting of partly decomposed vegetable matter
