Er Verbs

• Spanish verbs that end in the letters "er" use the following rules

• Drop the "er" and the appropriate ending.

• Example: Comer (to eat) lets conjugate it to say we eat. We would drop the er. Comer -er = com Then we would add emos. Com + emos = comemos

Example: Beber (To drink)

• Let's conjugate beber to say you drink

• First drop the er. Beber - er = Beb

• Next add the ending for tu (es). Beb + es = Bebes

Example: Comprender (to understand)

• Let's conjugate comprender to say they understand

• First drop the er. Comprender - er = comprend

• Then add the ending for ellos (en). Comprend + en = comprenden
