Conjugation means to change the verb to fit the subject.

Er Verbs
Spanish verbs that end in the letters "er" use the following rules
Drop the "er" and the appropriate ending.
Example: Comer (to eat) lets conjugate it to say we eat. We would drop the er. Comer -er = com Then we would add emos. Com + emos = comemos

Example: Beber (To drink)
Let's conjugate beber to say you drink
First drop the er. Beber - er = Beb
Next add the ending for tu (es). Beb + es = Bebes

Example: Comprender (to understand)
Let's conjugate comprender to say they understand
First drop the er. Comprender - er = comprend
Then add the ending for ellos (en). Comprend + en = comprenden
