Avoiding 1st Person Writing

First Person

is often used in personal narrative This perspective is the writer’s point of view, and the writer becomes the focal point. 

AVOID: I, we, me, us, my, mine, our, and ours.

Second Person

is rarely used in fiction, but is often found in speeches, letters, and other forms of non-fiction. It is used to address the reader directly. 

AVOID:  you, and your

Third Person

is used when not a character in the passage, but rather as an unspecified, unnamed narrator giving the information.

You will know> One can tell

"The essay talked about how no one is the same or too different from  each other."

This is an excellent example from your essay

of using 3rd person writing!
