Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor brought to the notice of the

members that a case is filed by a Student before the Dharwad Bench seeking Court

order directing the University to conduct online examination. The Court has

passed an order that University may consider the request of the Student. The Court

Order was discussed in the meeting. It was resolved that after the discussion

that a letter may be written to the student communicating impossibility of conducting

examination through online. The committee decided online examination shall

not be permitted for the following reasons.

1.     

Inadequate infrastructure

of the University for online exam

2.     

Majority of the Committee

supported offline examination

3.     

The opinion

expressed by the University from the Students

4.     

Failure of the

prestigious CLAT examination
