Spanish Nouns and Adjective Agreement
In Spanish all nouns are either masculine or feminine.
2
How to Determine the Gender of a Noun
You can almost always tell the gender of a noun if it ends in an -o or an -a. However, many nouns end in a consonant. When a noun does not end in an -o or an -a it can be difficult to know its gender.
3
Multiple Choice
All nouns in Spanish end in either an -o or an -a?
cierto (true)
falso (false)
4
Articles
The best way to determine the gender of a noun is to look at the article that proceeds it. The article will tell you if the noun is masculine or feminine as well as whether it is singular or plural.
5
Adjective and Noun Agreement
Like articles, adjectives have to agree with the noun they modify in terms of gender and number.

Gender Neutral Adjectives
Some adjectives do not change for gender. These are adjectives which end in an -e or a consonant. But these adjectives do change for number. You need to add an -s or -es to them if the noun is plural.
