The narrator seems to support the idea of women’s voting rights and admires Mrs. Baxter and her colleagues, the Silent Sentinels. The narrator describes how proud Gloria is and how Mr. Baxter supports his wife. Mrs. Baxter thanks them for their help and feels triumphant when she finally gets to vote.
