Mixture

A combination of two or more substances that do not join together to form a new substance.

Solution

A mixture where the substances are spread out so evenly between one another they cannot be told apart.

Dissolve

To form a solution with another substance.

Solute

A substance that dissolves in another substance.

Solvent

A substance that another substance dissolves into.

Alloy

A mixture of metals.
