Biotic or Living

'Biotic' describes a living component of an ecosystem; for example organisms, such as plants and animals.

Abiotic or Non-Living

'Abiotic' describes components in an ecosystem that are non-living chemical and physical factors. They can affect ecosystems.

Once Living

'Once Living' things are Biotic components in an ecosystem that were alive at one time, but no longer are. They may affect an ecosystem differently after they've died.
