Preparing to Give Your Speech

  • Make sure you can pronounce all the words in your speech and know your facts!

  • You don't have to memorize the written speech word for word.

  • Watch the videos on Schoology of other presenters.

  • Practice by recording yourself speaking to help get used to being on camera for the Zoom contest.

  • Watch your videos! Look for bad habits such as playing with hands/hair/clothing, swaying back and forth, or using the word UMMM!
