Rotational Symmetry

If a figure is rotated around a centre point and it still appears exactly as it did before the rotation, it is said to have rotational symmetry.

  • The rotational symmetry of a regular polygon is determined by the exterior angle of the regular polygon.

  • Exterior angle is the minimum degree of rotation.

  • Exterior Angle = 360 divided by # of sides
