The story is taking place in the playground ( school).

The setting is affecting the story because is based on the issues with friendship in the school yard during recess.

Problem in the Story

• Will doesn't want to be with the Allans picking up leaf clovers during recess anymore.

• Will wants to be popular and have many friends but he is unable to do it so far.

• Will goes unnoticed by the "popular crew".

Solution

Will will use humor and will mock Mitch to be noticed.

Will will use sarcasm to become popular and also (mean)jokes to get attention and friends.

Notes about the story

• Will is using the same jokes that Mitch uses and people will eventually notice.

• Interesting story about friendship

• Will really tries to be popular because he has only "two friends"

• Will is never loyal to the Allans

• Mitch is called" tweety bird "at certain point in the story.

• Will is selfish because he just thinks in him becoming popular.

• The story has some funny jokes.
