Migration means to move to anew place to live. There are three main reasons for migration.
1) Environment - weather changes
2) Economy - jobs or a better way of life
3) Politics - war or change in leadership
Usually people are either pushed out of an area or pulled into an area.

Around 300 AD, the Bantu people began one of the biggest migrations in history. Scientists think the Bantu first lived in Western Africa. They were farmers who made iron tools and weapons. Their population grew.
