The Sun
The sun is the center of solar system. It is made up of a gas like hydrogen and helium.it keeps the earth warm and helps to grow food. It is four an half million years old. The sun shines so bright with its golden light. It is so hot and can melt ice and it is so big that it can fit a million earths inside. It has very high gravity.

The Moon
In the evening comes the moon to reflect its light on the earth. The earth and the moon are spinning around the sun. The sun is like a light bulb and the moon is like a mirror. The sun’s light bounces off the moon and it reflects to the earth below for a lovely views.
Sometimes the moon is full , sometimes half and sometimes crescent ,waning and waxing gibbous.
The first man who walked on the moon is Neil Armstrong.

Planet Mercury
Mercury is the smallest planet, more smaller than the earth’s moon.
It is very hot during mornings and extremely cold at nights.
It has no moons.

Planet Venus
Venus is the same size as earth but it spins the opposite way around the sun. It has volcanoes and mountains that spray out lava.

Planet Earth
Earth is the most beautiful planet in the whole solar system. It has oceans , deserts , animals , people , air , water, trees.
Earth has more than 7 billion people living in it. It has amazing geography, tropical islands, it is spread around seven continents.
Earth orbits the sun and moon orbits the earth.
It has most beautiful view of moon .

Planet Mars
Mars is often called as the Red Planet. It has the largest dust storm. It has the tallest mountain the whole solar system. It has 2 moons.

Jupiter
Jupiter is the biggest planet in the whole solar system . It has hurricanes that can go for miles. It protects earth from meteor and asteroid and spins the fastest around the sun.

Saturn
Saturn is the gas giant. It has rings that are made of billions of rocks , ice and dust etc.

Uranus
Uranus is the only planet lying on its side. It’s a gas giant and it has 27 moons. It has the coldest temp recorded. Uranus was the first planet discovered using a telescope.

Neptune
Neptune is cold, dark and windy. It is very stormy.
