Attendance. For Remote Printed Learning Modality, it is not required to take attendance, for students are working at their own pace, while in Synchronous Learning and Asynchronous Online Learning Modality attendance is required every time there is a scheduled online meeting with the students. Meet Attendance requires logging in and Syncing your Chrome browser. When in Google Meet select the participant's view. Accept the permissions. In the case that not all attendees will not be capture due to technical concerns. Google Meet Attendance Spreadsheet will be displayed and shared in the chatbox to be filled up by those who are not on the list but present at the online meeting.
8
Examinations. There will be two-term examinations divided by midterm period and final period. The exams will cover materials loaded in google classrooms such as slide presentations, online resources, assignments, and videos. Type of examinations may vary and will be administered online simultaneously to all sections. Exams will be scheduled and will be a combination of multiple-choice, short answer, and true or false type of questions.
If you miss an exam due to illness, work, or a university-sponsored activity, you must provide proper notification to the Instructor as soon as possible. If no valid excuse is provided, the student will receive a score of zero for the missed exam.
9
Individual and Team Activities, Assignments and Quizzes. Teams will be assigned before the start of the first group activity. These teams will remain throughout the semester. There will be individual and team activities given during the semester to enable each team to establish camaraderie and teamwork that they will need in their SAD project-related activities. Allotted time will mostly be assigned to work on exercises and practice, both individual and team-based.
10
Quizzes will be individually given online. No late individual quizzes will be accepted unless the reason is valid, and notifications should be given to the Instructor in advance. Team activities and presentations will be done in class. Everyone on the team gets the team score unless a team member is absent when the team activities and presentations are done.
Individual assignments and quizzes must be completed on your own It is important that you practice and acquire the knowledge being taught. Most of these will be used throughout the semester so you can learn the techniques in system development and apply them in the system development life cycle.
11
Late activities, assignments may be accepted within 24 hours of the due date, and there will be a 20% late penalty on the total score. Beyond 24 hours after the due date, assignments will not be accepted anymore.
12
Projects/ Case Study. You will apply all of what you learn in this subject.
Group Project: There will be a group project that begins approximately three weeks before the end of the semester. In addition to learning technical skills in this course, it is important for you to practice these skills while working with other students as part of a systems analysis and design project team. Being able to work effectively with others on a team project is important, and teamwork experience is quite important to future opportunities.
13
Evaluation and Scoring: At the end of the project presentation, team members will complete confidential evaluations and critics from Instructor and will be asked individual questions to depend on their project presentation and gauge the know-how of each individual team member. These evaluations will be used in calculating each student's overall score for the project and the group work presentation score as a whole using the rubrics assigned in Project Presentation.
14
Other Requirements and Reminders
Participation. The nature of this subject and its format requires that you stay up-to-date with the schedule and give your full cooperation with group participation, for we have limited online interventions--read the material, ask questions, and complete assignments, exercises, and activities on time. Time management and good study habits are encouraged to avoid difficulty in coping with scheduled online activities and group presentations.
15
Classwork Instructional Materials. Classwork Instructional material is available to students online, and you are responsible for reading this material and viewing this video about a topic before it is discussed in class. It is worth repeating to remind students that you must prepare before coming to class. Online class interactions will be done on a scheduled basis as the need arises for individual or group exercises, consultations, and further discussion of topics.
