Median

To do by hand, rearrange numbers from least to greatest, or vice-versa. use the formula

 $\frac{n+1}{2}$  to find the median position. if you end up with a half, then the median is between the numbers. 

Example

there are 6 numbers so the formuale says

 $\frac{6+1}{2}=3.5$  so the median is between the 3rd number and 4th number. between 7 and 8. so median is 7.5.
