Subject Pronouns

  • Takes the place of a noun as the subject

  • I, we, he, she, it, they, you

  • Subject pronoun is labeled SP

Possessive Pronouns

  • Takes the place of a possessive noun, but does not use an apostrophe

  • shows ownership

  • modifies like an adjective

  • my, our, his, her, its, their, your

  • Label-PPA

Understood subject

  • subject will always be the pronoun you

  • sentence gives a command or makes a request

  • write the understood subject pronoun in parentheses at the beginning of the sentence

  • Whenever you read (You) SP, you will say "You-understood subject pronoun"
