There is/there are

When we want talk about things we can see and things that exist we use: “there is” for singular and uncountable nouns, and we use “there are” for plural countable nouns

For example:

Positive (Si hay, si existe):

-There is a banana (Hay un plátano)

Negative (No hay, no existe):

-There isn’t a banana (No hay un plátano)

-There aren’t two apples (No hay dos manzanas)
