A pure substance is defined as something that is composed of only one type of particle.

water and sugar are pure substances. When we mix them , both become impure.

soluble and insoluble substances

The substances that dissolve completely in a liquid to form solutions are called as soluble substances.

The substances that do not dissolve completely in a solvent are called as insoluble substances

miscible and immiscible liquids

the liquids that dissolve completely in each other are called as miscible liquids . (eg ; water and aalcohol).

The liquids which do not dissolve in each otehr are called immiscible liquids.( water and oil are examples)
