With the present perfect, we use adverbs of time

let's study them

FOR

We use FOR to mention a specific period of time.

For example:

for 5 minutes

for 2 hours

for 6 months

for 1 year

We use SINCE to mention the starting point or starting date. It is not specicif period of time.

ALREADY

We use already to say something that has happened recenlty.

We use it between the auxiliary verb and the main verb.
