FORMATTING NUMBERS

To format numbers, you simply have to select your data you want to format and go to the home tab and the number group and select the drop-down list for number formatting tools or you can go to the cell group and select the formatting option present there

FORMATTING CELLS

formatting cells is also easy, you just have to go to the cell group and to the formatting option and you will have 3 options - text, borders and fill and you can customise your text according to your preferences!

FUNCTIONS USED IN MS EXCEL -

• sum() - to add to values

• =sume() - to add characters

•  =average() – to get an average

• =count() - to count the values, cells

• =counta() - to count the characters

• =max() – to get the max value in a row or column

•  =min() – to get the min value in a row or column

MORE FUNCTIONS & FORMULAS USED -

• =LCM() – to get the least common multiple of values

•  =GCD() – to get the greatest common factor of values

• percentage formula - cell address/total number*100

• addition formula - cell address+cell address

• Cell name&" "&cell name&" "&cell name – to concatenated some characters

• AUTO SUM CAN ALSO BE USED TO ADD TO CELL VALUES

ERRORS IN MS EXCEL

#DIV/0! - When you divide a value with 0, this error is shown.

#NAME! - when you type a wrong function, then this is shown.

#VALUE! - if you type na, then this error will be shown.

#REF! - when the cell you are referring is not present.

#NULL! - when the range operator is wrong or not correctly used (comma (,) or colon (:))

##### - when the coloumn is smaller than the number
