Today we’re going to revise the passive.

1.Strona czasownika.

Strona jest formą czasownika wskazującą zależności pomiędzy wykonawcą czynności a jej przedmiotem.

2.Strona czynna.

Jeśli podmiot jest jednocześnie wykonawcą czynności to mówimy o stronie czynnej.

Ktoś coś robi.

Przykład:

Marysia pije mleko.

Ania pisze list.

3.Strona bierna.

Przedmiot jest biernym odbiorcą czynności wykonywanej przez podmiot.

To osobowa forma czasownika być + forma Past Participle.

Past Participle

a) czasownik regularny - -d, -ed, - ied

b) czasownik nieregularny - III kolumna

4.Strona bierna czasów:

a) Present Simple

Strona czynna: I write ten letters every day.

Strona bierna: Ten letters are written every day.

Strona czynna: write

Strona bierna: is/are written

isn't / aren't written

Strona czynna: Susan reads one book once a month.

Strona bierna: One book is read by her.

b) Past Simple

Strona czynna: made

Strona bierna: was/were made

wasn't / weren't made

b) Strona bierna - Czas Past Simple.

Strona czynna - I made a sandwich.

Strona bierna - A sandwich was made by me.

c) Present Perfect.

Strona czynna: Sue has lost her wallet.

Strona bierna: Her wallet has been lost.

Strona bierna: Present Perfect.

has/have been + Past Participle

hasn't/haven't been + Past Participle
