Proper Adjectives

Proper adjectives are formed from proper nouns. They usually identify people, places, languages, or groups, and they are ALWAYS capitalized.

• Ex. On my vacation in Italy, I ate only Italian food.

Some proper adjectives are the same as the related proper nouns.

• Ex. United States government
