Making Plural nouns possessive

When making plural nouns possessvive, there are two rules to follow. If the noun ends in "s", then you just add an apostrophe AFTER the "s".


If the plural noun is irregular and does not end in an "s", then you just add an apostrophe s ('s) at the end.

Example:

*Only plural - My dog had many puppies.

(Puppies is only plural because we are talking about more that one puppy.)

*Plural Possessive - The puppies' tails were all wagging

(The tails belong to the puppies.)
