ENERGY

In physics, energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to an object in order to perform work on, or to heat, the object. Energy is a conserved quantity; the law of conservation of energy states that energy can be converted in form, but not created or destroyed. Wikipedia

ENERGY

  • Energy, in physics, the capacity for doing work. It may exist in potential, kinetic, thermal, electrical, chemical, nuclear, or other various forms.

  • The simplest definition of energy is "the ability to do work". Energy is how things change and move. It's everywhere around us and takes all sorts of forms.

  • The formula that links energy and power is: Energy = Power x Time. The unit of energy is the joule, the unit of power is the watt, and the unit of time is the second.
