The Executive Branch

The Executive Branch
The leader of this branch is the President.
The president holds all the power of this branch of the government.
The other members report to the president, such as the Vice President and the Cabinet.
This branch enforces the laws and make sure they are obeyed.

The Legislative Branch
This branch is also called Congress.
Congress is made up of 2 parts: The Senate and the House of Representatives.
This branch makes the laws. They write up and veto (get rid of) laws.
To make a law, there's a whole process to follow, including writing a bill, having that bill be accepted or rejected, and having the House of Representatives and Senate agree/disagree on the bill.

The Judicial Branch
This branch is made up of courts and judges. The highest court is The Supreme Court.
This branch makes sure that the laws agree with the United States Constitution.
Basically, within this branch, they interpret the laws, judges whether a law is unconstitutional, and makes arrangements for prisoners.
