Present Perfect Continuous

We use this grammar tense to talk about the actions that we started in the past but we continue doing it at the moment.

You have to use the following structure:

• Personal Pronoun - Have/Has - Been - Verb (Ing) - Complement

You use the P. Perfect continuous when the action just finished and you can see it.

Let´s see some examples:

• I have been waiting for my uber for a long time.

• Marta has been playing with the dog for 1 hour.

• Rob, Victoria and Mike have been eating. They are full!

• She is sleepy. Katherine has been working all the night.

• They have been cleaning the house during the last hour.

The Negative form of the P. P. C.

In the negative, you have to add the word NOT.

Now, let´s see some examples:

• I Have NOT been waiting for the bus.
• Mishel has NOT been talking on the phone all the morning.
• Max and Mina have NOT been playing in the garden.
• Batman has NOT been in the city for a long time.
• Robert and Bella have NOT been sharing to much time.
